स्थिरलिंगश्न यन्नित्यं तस्मात्‌ स्थाणुरिति स्मृत: । ये ऊर्ध्वभागमें स्थित होकर देहधारियोंके प्राणोंका नाश करते हैं। सदा स्थिर रहते हैं और जिनका लिंग-विग्रह सदा स्थिर रहता है। इसलिये ये 'स्थाणु” कहलाते हैं

Transliteration

sthiraliṅgaś ca yan nityaṁ tasmāt sthāṇur iti smṛtaḥ |

Translation

వాయువు పలికెను—య whose లింగచిహ్నము నిత్యము అచలముగా స్థిరముగా ఉండునో, అందువలన అతడు ‘స్థాణు’ అని స్మరింపబడును—అచంచలుడు, స్థిరుడు.
