यक्किंचिद् ब्राह्मुणो ब्रूयात् सर्व कुर्यामिति प्रभो । प्रभावशाली पुत्र! ऐसा कहकर वे वहीं अन्तर्धान हो गये। उनके अदृश्य हो जानेपर मैंने अस्पष्ट वाणीमें धीरेसे यह व्रत लिया कि “आजसे कोई ब्राह्मण मुझसे जो कुछ कहेगा
yat kiñcid brāhmaṇo brūyāt sarvaṁ kuryām iti prabho |
వాయుదేవుడు అన్నాడు— “ప్రభూ, బ్రాహ్మణుడు ఏది చెప్పినా, అది అంతా నేను చేస్తాను.” అని చెప్పి ఆయన అక్కడికక్కడే అంతర్ధానమయ్యాడు. ఆయన అదృశ్యమైన తరువాత నేను మెల్లగా, స్పష్టంగా కాకుండా ఈ వ్రతం తీసుకున్నాను— “ఈ రోజు నుండి ఏ బ్రాహ్మణుడు నన్ను ఏది అడిగినా, దానిని పూర్తిగా నెరవేర్చుతాను.”
