कृष्ण: पृथ्वीमसृजत् खं दिवं च कृष्णस्य देहान्मेदिनी सम्बभूव । वराहो5यं भीमबल: पुराण: स पर्वतान् व्यसृजद् वै दिशश्चल॒,श्रीकृष्णने ही इस पृथ्वी, आकाश और स्वर्गकी सृष्टि की है। इन्हींके शरीरसे पृथ्वीका प्रादर्भाव हुआ है। यही भयंकर बलवाले वराहके रूपमें प्रकट हुए थे तथा इन्हीं पुराण- पुरुषने पर्वतों और दिशाओंको उत्पन्न किया है
kṛṣṇaḥ pṛthvīm asṛjat khaṃ divaṃ ca kṛṣṇasya dehān medinī sambabhūva | varāho 'yaṃ bhīmabalaḥ purāṇaḥ sa parvatān vyasṛjad vai diśaś ca ||
భీష్ముడు పలికెను—కృష్ణుడే భూమి, ఆకాశము, స్వర్గమును సృష్టించాడు. కృష్ణుని స్వదేహమునుండే ధారణశక్తిగల భూమి ప్రాదుర్భవించింది. ఆయనే భయంకర బలముగల ఆదిపురుషుడు; వరాహరూపముగా అవతరించి, పర్వతములను సృష్టించి, దిశల క్రమమును స్థాపించాడు.
