त॑ ममानुग्रहकृते दातुमर्हस्यनिन्दित । अनुशासन्तु मां सनन््तो मिथ्योद्वृत्तं त्वदाश्रयम्
taṁ mamānugrahakṛte dātum arhasy anindita | anuśāsantu māṁ santaḥ mithyodvṛttaṁ tvadāśrayam ||
భీష్ముడు అన్నాడు—“హే అనింద్యా! నాపై అనుగ్రహం చూపుటకై ఈ వరం ప్రసాదించుట నీకు యోగ్యం. నేను ఎప్పుడైనా నీ ఆశ్రయం పొందినవాడనై అసత్యమయమైన, వికృతమైన ప్రవర్తనలోకి జారితే, సద్గుణులు నన్ను బోధించి సరిదిద్దీ సన్మార్గంలో నిలిపివేయుగాక.”
