रमणीयाश्व भूतानां निधानं च धृतव्रता: । प्रणेतारशक्षु लोकानां शास्त्राणां च यशस्विन:
ramaṇīyāś ca bhūtānāṁ nidhānaṁ ca dhṛtavratāḥ | praṇetāraś ca lokānāṁ śāstrāṇāṁ ca yaśasvinaḥ ||
భీష్ముడు పలికెను—వారు సమస్త జీవులకు రమణీయులూ ప్రియులూ; వారు ఉత్తమ నిధి. వ్రతాలలో స్థిరులై, వారు లోకానికి మార్గదర్శకులు—శాస్త్రాల ప్రవర్తకులు, పరిరక్షకులు—మహా యశస్సుతో కూడినవారు.
