Shloka 3
ततो देवगिरौ तस्मिन् रम्ये पुण्ये सनातने । न शर्व भूतसंघं वा ददृशुर्मुन॒यस्तदा,उस समय उस रमणीय, पवित्र एवं सनातन देवगिरिपर ऋषियोंने जब दृष्टिपात किया, तब उन्हें वहाँ न तो भगवान् शंकर दिखायी दिये और न भूतोंके समुदायका ही दर्शन हुआ
tato devagirau tasmin ramye puṇye sanātane | na śarva-bhūtasaṅghaṃ vā dadṛśur munayas tadā ||
అప్పుడు ఆ రమ్యమైన, పుణ్యమైన, సనాతన దేవగిరిపై మునులు దృష్టి సారించగా, వారికి శర్వుడు (శివుడు) గానీ, ఆయన భూతగణ సమూహముగానీ కనబడలేదు।
