Adhyāya 152 — Bhīṣma’s Authorization for Yudhiṣṭhira’s Return to the Capital (नगरप्रवेशानुज्ञा)
उमोवाच स्त्रीधर्मो मां प्रति यथा प्रतिभाति यथाविधि । तमहं कीर्तयिष्यामि तथैव प्रश्निता भव,उमा बोलीं--स्त्री-धर्मका स्वरूप मेरी बुद्धिमें जैसा प्रतीत होता है, उसे मैं विधिपूर्वक बताऊँगी। तुम विनय और उत्सुकतासे युक्त होकर इसे सुनो
umovāca strīdharmaḥ māṃ prati yathā pratibhāti yathāvidhi | tam ahaṃ kīrtayiṣyāmi tathaiva praśnitā bhava |
ఉమా పలికెను—“స్త్రీధర్మం నా బుద్ధికి యథావిధిగా ఎలా ప్రతిభాసిస్తుందో, అలాగే నేను దానిని విధిపూర్వకంగా వివరించెదను. కాబట్టి వినయముతో, తెలుసుకొనుటకు తపనతో ప్రశ్నించి, అలాగే శ్రవణము చేయుము.”
