।। विपरीतस्तु धर्मात्मा रूपवानभिजायते

Transliteration

viparītastu dharmātmā rūpavān abhijāyate | devi! hiṁsāpremī manuṣyaḥ svapāpakarmakāraṇād anyeṣāṁ vadhyaḥ sarvaprāṇinām apriyaś cālpāyuś ca bhavati ||

Translation

మహేశ్వరుడు పలికెను—హింసకు విరుద్ధమైన స్వభావమున్నవాడు ధర్మాత్ముడై, సౌందర్యసంపన్నుడై జన్మిస్తాడు. దేవీ! హింసలో రమించే మనిషి తన పాపకర్మఫలంగా ఇతరుల చేత వధ్యుడవుతాడు, సమస్త ప్రాణులకు అప్రీతికరుడవుతాడు, అల్పాయుష్కుడై జన్మిస్తాడు.
