श्रीमहेश्वर उवाच हन्त ते<हं प्रवक्ष्यामि देवि कर्मफलोदयम् । मर्त्यलोके नर: सर्वो येन स्वफलमश्षुते,श्रीमहेश्वरने कहा--देवि! अब मैं प्रसन्नतापूर्वक तुम्हें बता रहा हूँ कि कर्मके फलका उदय किस प्रकार होता है और मर्त्यलोकके सभी मनुष्य किस प्रकार अपनी-अपनी करनीका फल भोगते हैं
śrīmaheśvara uvāca: hanta te 'haṃ pravakṣyāmi devi karmaphalodayam | martyaloke naraḥ sarvo yena svaphalam aśnute ||
శ్రీ మహేశ్వరుడు పలికెను—దేవీ! రా, కర్మఫలోదయం ఏ విధంగా జరుగుతుందో నేను నీకు చెప్పుదును. మర్త్యలోకంలో ప్రతి మనిషి ఆ నియమం ప్రకారమే తన తన కర్మఫలాన్ని అనుభవిస్తాడు.
