यश्न गोवृषभाड्कस्य प्रभावस्तं च मे शृणु । रुद्राण्या: संशयो यश्व दम्पत्योस्तं च मे शृणु
yad go-vṛṣabhāṅkasya prabhāvas taṁ ca me śṛṇu | rudrāṇyāḥ saṁśayo yad vai dampatyos taṁ ca me śṛṇu ||
భీష్ముడు పలికెను—గోవృషభాంకుడైన ప్రభువు మహిమను వినుము; రుద్రాణి (పార్వతి) హృదయంలో కలిగిన సందేహమును, ఆపై దివ్య దంపతులైన శివ–పార్వతుల మధ్య జరిగిన సంభాషణను కూడ వినుము. ప్రాచీనకాలమున నేను వినిన ప్రకారము నారాయణుడు మరియు మహాదేవుని మహత్త్వమును, వారి శక్తి ప్రభావమును నీకు వివరిస్తాను.
