भगवान्‌ श्रीकृष्णकी तपस्या वैशम्पायन उवाच तस्य तद्‌ वचन श्रुत्वा स्नेहादागतसम्भ्रम: । भीष्मो भागीरथीपुत्र इदं वचनमत्रवीत्‌

Transliteration

vaiśampāyana uvāca | tasya tad vacanaṃ śrutvā snehād āgata-sambhramaḥ | bhīṣmo bhāgīrathī-putra idaṃ vacanam abravīt ||

Translation

వైశంపాయనుడు పలికెను—హే జనమేజయా! యుధిష్ఠిరుని ఆ మాటలు విని, స్నేహంతో కలిగిన భావోద్వేగంతో కదిలిన గంగాపుత్రుడు భీష్ముడు ఈ విధంగా పలికెను.
