Śiva-nāmānukīrtana-prastāvaḥ

Prologue to the praise of Śiva and the Upamanyu testimony

यदवाप्तं च मे पूर्व साम्बहेतो: सुदुष्करम्‌ । यथावद्‌ भगवान्‌ दृष्टो मया पूर्व समाधिना

yad avāptaṃ ca me pūrva sāmbhetoḥ suduṣkaram | yathāvad bhagavān dṛṣṭo mayā pūrva-samādhinā ||

వాసుదేవుడు పలికెను—సాంబుని నిమిత్తం నేను పూర్వకాలంలో అత్యంత దుష్కరమైన తపస్సుతో పొందిన ఆ దుర్లభ నామసమూహమును, అలాగే పూర్వ సమాధి ద్వారా నేను భగవాన్ శంకరుని యథావిధిగా దర్శించిన విధానమును—ఆ సమస్త వృత్తాంతమును ఇప్పుడు వివరిస్తాను.
