Śiva-nāmānukīrtana-prastāvaḥ
Prologue to the praise of Śiva and the Upamanyu testimony
पशुपतिवचनाद् भवामि सद्य: कृमिरथवा तरुरप्यनेकशाख: । अपशुपतिवरप्रसादजा मे त्रिभुवनराज्यविभूतिरप्यनिष्टा
paśupativacanād bhavāmi sadyaḥ kṛmir athavā tarur apy anekaśākhaḥ | apaśupativarprasādajā me tribhuvanarājyavibhūtir apy aniṣṭā ||
వాసుదేవుడు పలికెను—భగవాన్ పశుపతి వాక్యముతో నేను తక్షణమే ఆనందముతో పురుగుగానైనా, అనేక శాఖలతో కూడిన వృక్షముగానైనా అవగలను. కాని పశుపతి (శివుడు) తప్ప మరెవరి వరప్రసాదముచేతనైనా నాకు త్రిభువనాధిపత్య వైభవము లభించినా, అది కూడా నాకు ఇష్టము కాదు.
