Śiva-nāmānukīrtana-prastāvaḥ
Prologue to the praise of Śiva and the Upamanyu testimony
यो हि यं कामयेत् काम॑ यस्मिन्नर्थेडर्च्यते पुनः । तत् सर्व वेत्ति देवेशस्तं प्रपद्य यदीच्छसि
yo hi yaṁ kāmayet kāmaṁ yasminn arthe ’rcyate punaḥ | tat sarvaṁ vetti deveśas taṁ prapadya yadīcchasi ||
వాసుదేవుడు పలికెను—మనిషి ఏ కోరికను కోరునో, ఏ ప్రయోజనమునకై మళ్లీ మళ్లీ ఆరాధన చేయునో, దేవేశ్వరుడు శివుడు అది సమస్తమును ఎరుగును. కనుక నీవు ఏ వరమును గాని సిద్ధిని గాని కోరితే, ఆయన శరణు పొందుము.
