Adhyāya 119: Vyāsa–Kīṭa-saṃvāda

Tapas-bala and karmic ascent across yoni

इदं तु शृणु राजेन्द्र कीर्त्यमानं मयानघ । अभक्षणे सर्वसुखं मांसस्य मनुजाधिप,निष्पाप राजेन्द्र! मनुजेश्वर! मेरी कही हुई यह बात भी सुनो--मांस-भक्षण न करनेसे सब प्रकारका सुख मिलता है

idaṁ tu śṛṇu rājendra kīrtyamānaṁ mayānagha | abhakṣaṇe sarvasukhaṁ māṁsasya manujādhipa ||

ఓ రాజేంద్రా, ఓ నిర్దోషీ! నేను చెప్పబోయే ఈ మాటను కూడా విను. ఓ మనుజాధిపా! మాంసభక్షణం చేయకపోతే అన్ని విధాల సుఖం లభిస్తుంది.
