कलहंसविनिर्धोषैर्नूपुराणां च नि:स्वनै: । काज्चीनां च समुत्कर्षस्तत्र तत्र निबोध्यते,वह सो जानेपर कलहंसोंके कलरवों, नूपुरोंकी मधुर झनकारों तथा काउ्चीकी मनोहर ध्वनियोंद्वारा जगाया जाता है

kala-haṃsa-vinirghoṣair nūpurāṇāṃ ca niḥsvanaiḥ | kāñcīnāṃ ca samutkarṣas tatra tatra nibodhyate ||

భీష్ముడు పలికెను—అక్కడ అక్కడ మళ్లీ మళ్లీ కలహంసల కూయుట, నూపురాల మధుర ఝంకారము, కాంచీల (నడుము పట్టీలు) మనోహర నాదము స్పష్టముగా వినబడును।
