स््नातां चतुर्थे दिवसे रात्रौ गच्छेद् विचक्षण: । पज्चमे दिवसे नारी षछ्ठे-हनि पुमान् भवेत्
snātāṃ caturthe divase rātrau gacched vicakṣaṇaḥ | pañcame divase nārī ṣaṣṭhe ’hani pumān bhavet |
నాల్గవ దినము స్నానము చేసిన తరువాత వివేకి పురుషుడు రాత్రి ఆమెను సమీపించవలెను. ఐదవ దినము గర్భాధానమైతే కన్య, ఆరవ దినము అయితే పుత్రుడు; అలాగే సమరాత్రి గర్భాధానమైతే పుత్రుడు, విషమరాత్రి అయితే కన్య అని చెప్పబడింది.
