रक्तमाल्यं न धार्य स्याच्छुक्लं धार्य तु पण्डितै: । वर्जयित्वा तु कमलं तथा कुवलयं प्रभो

Transliteration

raktamālyaṃ na dhāryaṃ syāc chuklaṃ dhāryaṃ tu paṇḍitaiḥ | varjayitvā tu kamalaṃ tathā kuvalayaṃ prabho ||

Translation

ప్రభూ! పండితులు ఎర్ర పూల మాల ధరించక, తెల్ల పుష్పమాలనే ధరించాలి. అయితే కమలం మరియు కువలయం (నీలకమలం) మినహాయింపు—అవి ఎర్రగా ఉన్నా ధరించడంలో దోషం లేదు।
