Praise of Ācāra as the Basis of Longevity, Fame, and Prosperity

प्राडमुखो नित्यमश्रीयाद्‌ वाग्यतो5न्नमकुत्सयन्‌ । प्रस्कन्दयेच्च मनसा भुक्त्वा चाग्निमुपस्पृशेत्‌

prāḍmukho nityam aśrīyād vāgyato 'nnam akutsayan | praskandayec ca manasā bhuktvā cāgnim upaspṛśet ||

భీష్ముడు పలికెను— భోజనం చేసే మనిషి ప్రతిరోజూ తూర్పు ముఖంగా, మౌనంగా, నియమంతో భోజనం చేయాలి. వడ్డించిన అన్నాన్ని నిందించకూడదు. కొద్దిగా అన్నం మిగిల్చి, భోజనం ముగిసిన తరువాత మనసులో పవిత్ర అగ్నిని స్మరించాలి.
