विशीला भिजन्नमर्यादा नित्यं संकीर्णमैथुना: । अल्पायुषो भवन्तीह नरा निरयगामिन:

Transliteration

viśīlā bhijannamaryādā nityaṁ saṅkīrṇa-maithunāḥ | alpāyuṣo bhavantīha narā niraya-gāminaḥ ||

Translation

భీష్ముడు పలికెను—శీలహీనులు, ధర్మమర్యాదను నిత్యం భంగపరచువారు, నిషిద్ధ సరిహద్దులను దాటి అక్రమ మైతునంలో అలవాటుగా లీనమగువారు—ఇహలోకమందు అల్పాయుష్కులై, మరణానంతరం నరకగాములు అవుతారు.
