Praise of Ācāra as the Basis of Longevity, Fame, and Prosperity

अप्यदृष्टं श्रवादेव पुरुषं धर्मचारिणम्‌ | भूतिकर्माणि कुर्वाणं तं जना: कुर्वते प्रियम्‌

Transliteration

apy adṛṣṭaṃ śravād eva puruṣaṃ dharmacāriṇam | bhūtikarmāṇi kurvāṇaṃ taṃ janāḥ kurvate priyam ||

Translation

ధర్మాన్ని ఆచరించి, లోకహితకరమైన కార్యాలలో నిమగ్నుడై ఉన్న మనిషిని ప్రజలు చూడకపోయినా, కేవలం అతని కీర్తిని (పేరు) విన్న మాత్రాననే అతనిపై ప్రీతిని కలిగించుకుంటారు.
