Transliteration

gautama uvāca | tavaiva gāvo hi bhavantu rājan dāsyaḥ saniṣkā vividhā ca ratnam | anyac ca vittaṃ vividhaṃ narendra kiṃ brāhmaṇasyeha dhanena kṛtyam ||

Translation

గౌతముడు అన్నాడు—రాజా, ఆ ఆవులు, దాసీలు, నిష్కాలు, వివిధ రత్నాలు మరియు ఇతర సమస్త ధనం నీ దగ్గరే ఉండనీ. నరేంద్రా, బ్రాహ్మణునికి ఇక్కడ ధనం ఎందుకు?
