Āloka-dāna (Dīpa-dāna), Sumanas–Dhūpa–Dīpa Phala: Manu–Suvarṇa and Śukra–Bali Exempla
द्विविधो हि स्मृतो गन्ध इष्टोडनिष्ट श्व पुष्पज: । इष्टगन्धानि देवानां पुष्पाणीति विभावय
dvividho hi smṛto gandha iṣṭo 'niṣṭaś ca puṣpajaḥ | iṣṭagandhāni devānāṁ puṣpāṇīti vibhāvaya ||
శుక్రుడు అన్నాడు—పుష్పాల నుండి పుట్టే గంధం రెండు విధాలుగా చెప్పబడింది: ఇష్టమైనది, అనిష్టమైనది. బాగా గ్రహించు—ఇష్టగంధముగల సుగంధ పుష్పాలు దేవతలకు ప్రియమైనవి.
