Householder Duties and Daily Offerings
जनेश्वर! इस गृहस्थ-धर्मका पालन करते रहनेपर तुम इहलोकमें सुयश और परलोकमें स्वर्ग प्राप्त कर लोगे ।। इति श्रीमहाभारते अनुशासनपर्वणि दानधर्मपर्वणि बलिदानविधिनाम सप्तनवतितमो<ध्याय:
janeśvara! asya gṛhastha-dharmasya pālanaṃ satataṃ kurvan tvaṃ iha-loke suyaśaḥ prāpsyasi, para-loke ca svargaṃ prāpsyasi.
భీష్ముడు పలికెను—ఓ జनेశ్వరా! ఈ గృహస్థధర్మాన్ని నిరంతరం ఆచరించుచుంటే నీవు ఇహలోకంలో సుయశస్సును పొందెదవు; పరలోకంలో స్వర్గాన్ని పొందెదవు. ఇతి శ్రీమహాభారత అనుశాసనపర్వ దానధర్మపర్వంలో ‘బలిదానవిధి’ అనే తొంభై ఏడవ అధ్యాయం.
