वैशम्पायन उवाच
This verse is a colophon rather than a doctrinal statement; its lesson is indirect: it highlights disciplined preservation of tradition—clear divisions, careful attribution, and orderly completion—supporting responsible learning and transmission (śruti-smṛti style pedagogy).
The narrator signals the end of a chapter and the completion of a subsection dealing with ‘Uttara’s departure’ within the Sambhava Parva of the Ādi Parva; it functions as a formal closing line before the text proceeds to the next unit.
