Yayāti–Indra Dialogue and Aṣṭaka’s Inquiry

देवयान्युवाच कि नामधेयं वंशो व: पुत्रका: कश्न वः पिता । प्रत्रूत मे यथातथ्यं श्रोतुमिच्छामि त॑ हाहम्‌,देवयानीने पूछा--बच्चो! तुम्हारे कुलका कया नाम है? तुम्हारे पिता कौन हैं? यह मुझे ठीक-ठीक बताओ मैं तुम्हारे पिताका नाम सुनना चाहती हूँ

devayāny uvāca—kiṁ nāmadheyaṁ vaṁśo vaḥ? putrakāḥ, kaś ca vaḥ pitā? prabrūta me yathātathyaṁ; śrotum icchāmi taṁ hy aham.

దేవయాని పలికెను—బాలకులారా! మీ వంశనామము ఏమిటి? మీ తండ్రి ఎవరు? యథార్థముగా నాకు చెప్పుడి; నేను ఆయన నామము వినదలచితిని.
