ययातेर्वानप्रस्थतपःस्वर्गारोहणम् | Yayāti’s Vānaprastha Austerities and Ascent to Heaven
रूपेणाप्रतिमां तासां स्त्रीणां मध्ये वराड़नाम् । शर्मिष्ठया सेव्यमानां पादसंवाहनादिभि:,उसके रूपकी कहीं तुलना नहीं थी। वह सुन्दरी उन स्त्रियोंके मध्यमें बैठी हुई थी और शर्मिष्ठाद्वारा उसकी चरणसेवा की जा रही थी
rūpeṇāpratimāṃ tāsāṃ strīṇāṃ madhye varāḍnām | śarmiṣṭhayā sevyamānāṃ pādasaṃvāhanādibhiḥ ||
వైశంపాయనుడు చెప్పెను—ఆ స్త్రీల మధ్య ఆమె రూపమునకు సాటి లేని పరమసుందరి. ఆమె మధ్యలో కూర్చుండగా, శర్మిష్ఠ ఆమె పాదసంవాహనాది సేవలలో నిమగ్నమై యుండెను.
