सुराणामसुराणां च समजायत वै मिथ: । ऐश्वर्य प्रति संघर्षस्त्रलोक्ये सचराचरे,एक समय चराचर प्राणियोंसहित समस्त त्रिलोकीके ऐश्वर्यके लिये देवताओं और असुरोंमें परस्पर बड़ा भारी संघर्ष हुआ
surāṇām asurāṇāṁ ca samajāyata vai mithaḥ | aiśvarya-prati saṅgharṣas trilokye sa-carācare ||
దేవతలకూ అసురులకూ మధ్య, చరాచర సమేతమైన సమస్త త్రిలోకాధిపత్యం కోసం, పరస్పరం ఘోర సంగ్రామం చెలరేగింది.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights how the pursuit of aiśvarya (sovereignty) can generate destructive rivalry even among powerful beings, implying an ethical caution: unchecked ambition destabilizes the wider order that includes all creatures.
