यस्तु राजन्‌ कृपो नाम ब्रह्मूर्षिरभवत्‌ क्षितौ । रुद्राणां तु गणाद्‌ विद्धि सम्भूतमतिपौरुषम्‌,महाराज! जो कृप नामसे प्रसिद्ध ब्रह्मर्षि इस पृथ्वीपर प्रकट हुए थे, उनका पुरुषार्थ असीम था। उन्हें रुद्रणणके अंशसे उत्पन्न हुआ समझो

yaḥ tu rājan kṛpo nāma brahmarṣir abhavat kṣitau | rudrāṇāṃ tu gaṇād viddhi sambhūtam atipauruṣam ||

రాజా! ఈ భూమిపై కృప అనే బ్రహ్మర్షి అవతరించాడు; అతని పరాక్రమం అపారం. అతడు రుద్రగణములోని అంసమునుండి జన్మించినవాడని తెలుసుకో.
