Duḥṣanta–Śakuntalā: Gandharva Marriage and Succession Condition
गणात् क्रोधवशादेष राजपूगो5भवत् क्षितौ | जात: पुरा महाभागो महाकीर्तिमहाबल:,इतने राजाओंका समुदाय पहले इस पृथ्वीपर क्रोधवश नामक दैत्यगणसे उत्पन्न हुआ था। ये सब राजा परम सौभाग्यशाली, महान् यशस्वी और अत्यन्त बलशाली थे
gaṇāt krodhavaśād eṣa rājapūgo 'bhavat kṣitau | jātaḥ purā mahābhāgo mahākīrtimahābalaḥ ||
వైశంపాయనుడు పలికెను—‘క్రోధవశ’ అనే గణమునుండి ఈ రాజసమూహము ఒకప్పుడు భూమిపై ఉద్భవించింది. వారు పూర్వకాలంలో మహాభాగ్యశాలులు, మహాకీర్తిమంతులు, మహాబలవంతులుగా జన్మించారు.
