Duḥṣanta–Śakuntalā: Gandharva Marriage and Succession Condition
अंशावतरणं श्रुत्वा देवगन्धर्वरक्षसाम् । प्रभवाप्ययवित् प्राज्ञो न कृच्छेष्ववसीदति,देवता, गन्धर्व तथा राक्षसोंके इस अंशावतरणको सुनकर विश्वकी उत्पत्ति और प्रलयके अधिष्ठान परमात्माके स्वरूपको जाननेवाला प्राज्ञ पुरुष बड़ी-बड़ी विपत्तियोंमें भी दुःखी नहीं होता
aṁśāvataraṇaṁ śrutvā devagandharvarakṣasām | prabhavāpyayavit prājño na kṛcchreṣv avasīdati ||
దేవులు, గంధర్వులు, రాక్షసుల అంసావతరణాన్ని విని, జగత్తు ఉద్భవ-లయాలకు ఆధారమైన పరమేశ్వరుని స్వరూపాన్ని తెలిసిన ప్రాజ్ఞుడు ఘోర కష్టాలలోనూ కుంగిపోడు.
