त॑ चापि पुरुषव्याप्रो बाहुवीयेण पाण्डव: । निहत्य तरसा वीरो नागरान् पर्यसान्त्वयत्,नरश्रेष्ठ पाण्डुनन्दन वीरवर भीमने अपने बाहुबलसे उस राक्षसको वेगपूर्वक मारकर वहाँके नगरनिवासियोंको धैर्य बँधाया
taṁ cāpi puruṣavyāghro bāhuvīryeṇa pāṇḍavaḥ | nihatya tarasā vīro nāgarān paryasāntvayat ||
వైశంపాయనుడు పలికెను—పురుషవ్యాఘ్రమైన ఆ పాండవ వీరుడు భీముడు తన భుజబలంతో ఆ రాక్షసుని వేగంగా సంహరించి, నగరవాసులకు ధైర్యం చెప్పి భయాన్ని తొలగించెను.
