Jaratkāru’s Conditional Marriage Vow and Vāsuki’s Offer (जरत्कारु-विवाह-नियमः)
काश्यप उवाच नृपं कुरुकुलोत्पन्नं परिक्षितमरिन्दमम् | तक्षक: पन्नगश्रेष्ठस्तेजसाद्य प्रधक्ष्यति,काश्यपने कहा--कुरुकुलमें उत्पन्न शत्रुदमन महाराज परीक्षित्को आज नागराज तक्षक अपनी विषाग्निसे दग्ध कर देगा
kāśyapa uvāca | nṛpaṃ kurukulotpannaṃ parīkṣitam arindamam | takṣakaḥ pannagaśreṣṭhas tejasā adya pradhakṣyati ||
కాశ్యపుడు అన్నాడు—“కురుకులంలో జన్మించిన శత్రుదమనుడైన రాజు పరీక్షితుని ఈ రోజు పన్నగశ్రేష్ఠుడు తక్షకుడు తన తేజోమయ విషంతో దహించును.”
