Jaratkāru’s Conditional Marriage Vow and Vāsuki’s Offer (जरत्कारु-विवाह-नियमः)
न हि शक्नोति त॑ यन्तुं पुत्र कोपसमन्वितम् । ततोऊहं प्रेषितस्तेन तव राजन् हितार्थिना,स्वयं महर्षि भी क्रोधमें भरे हुए अपने पुत्रको शान्त नहीं कर पा रहे हैं। अतः राजन! आपके हितकी इच्छासे उन्होंने मुझे यहाँ भेजा है
na hi śaknoti taṃ yantuṃ putra kopasamanvitam | tato ’haṃ preṣitas tena tava rājan hitārthinā ||
క్రోధంతో నిండిన ఆ కుమారుని ఆయన నియంత్రించలేకపోతున్నాడు. అందుకే, రాజా! నీ హితాన్ని కోరుతూ ఆయన నన్ను ఇక్కడికి పంపాడు.
