Ananta-Śeṣa Tapas and the Bearing of the Earth (अनन्त-शेष-तपस् तथा महीधारणम्)
एवं संलोडयामास गरुडस्त्रिदिवालयम् । पक्षतुण्डप्रहारैस्तु देवान् स विददार ह,इस तरह गरुडने स्वर्गलोकको व्याकुल कर दिया और पंखों तथा चोंचोंकी मारसे देवताओंका अंग-अंग विदीर्ण कर डाला
evaṁ saṁloḍayāmāsa garuḍas tridivālayaṁ | pakṣatuṇḍa-prahārais tu devān sa vidadāra ha ||
ఇలా గరుడుడు త్రిదివలోకాన్ని కలవరపెట్టాడు; తన రెక్కలూ ముక్కుతో చేసిన దెబ్బలతో దేవతల అవయవాలను చీల్చివేశాడు.
शौनक उवाच
The verse highlights how immense power, even when aligned with a determined purpose, can disturb cosmic order; ethical action requires not only strength and resolve but also awareness of the wider consequences and the need to restore balance after force is used.
Śaunaka describes Garuḍa storming the heavenly realm and violently striking the gods with his wings and beak, causing chaos and injury—an image of Garuḍa’s irresistible might as he advances his mission in the larger Garuḍa–Amṛta narrative.
