Garuḍa–Śakra Saṃvāda and the Retrieval of Amṛta (गरुड–शक्र संवादः अमृत-अपहरण-प्रसङ्गः)
ततस्तेष्वपयातेषु पितरं विनतासुत: । शाखाव्याक्षिप्तवदन: पर्यपृच्छत कश्यपम्,उनके चले जानेपर विनतानन्दन गरुडने, जो मुँहमें शाखा लिये रहनेके कारण कठिनाईसे बोल पाते थे, अपने पिता कश्यपजीसे पूछा--
tatas teṣv apayāteṣu pitaraṃ vinatāsutaḥ | śākhāvyākṣiptavadanaḥ paryapṛcchat kaśyapam ||
వారు వెళ్లిపోయిన తరువాత, వినతాసుతుడు గరుడుడు—నోటిలో చెట్టు కొమ్మ ఉండటంతో మాటలు అడ్డుపడుతున్నప్పటికీ—తన తండ్రి కశ్యపుని ప్రశ్నించాడు।
