राम उवाच
The verse highlights śiṣya-dharma: prompt, respectful responsiveness to the guru’s instruction. Ethical training is shown through readiness to serve and disciplined attention rather than delay or argument.
Āruṇi hears his teacher’s words while in a section of the cultivated field. He immediately gets up and approaches the teacher, standing before him to receive or carry out further instruction.
