विनतोवाच दासी भूतास्मि दुर्योगात् सपत्न्या: पतगोत्तम | पणं वितथमास्थाय सर्पैरुपधिना कृतम्,विनता बोली--बेटा पक्षिराज! मैं दुर्भाग्यवश सौतकी दासी हूँ, इन सर्पोने छल करके मेरी जीती हुई बाजीको पलट दिया था
Vinatovāca dāsī bhūtāsmi duryogāt sapatnyāḥ patagottama | paṇaṁ vitatham āsthāya sarpair upadhinā kṛtam ||
వినత చెప్పింది—“హే పక్షిశ్రేష్ఠా! దురదృష్టవశాత్తు నేను నా సహపత్నికి దాసిగా మారాను. సర్పులు మాయాచతుర్యంతో పణాన్ని అసత్యం చేసి, నాకు దక్కిన విజయాన్ని తిప్పివేశారు.”
