Shloka 40

युगान्तसमरूपाणि भूतसम्मोहनानि च । तथा दृष्टवा सुसंरब्धं शक्रं देवै: सहाच्युती

yugāntasamarūpāṇi bhūtasammohanāni ca | tathā dṛṣṭvā susaṃrabdhaṃ śakraṃ devaiḥ sahācyutī ||

వైశంపాయనుడు చెప్పెను: యుగాంతంలా కనిపించే, సమస్త ప్రాణులను మోహింపజేసే ఆ నిమిత్తాలను చూచి, దేవులతో కూడిన శక్రుడు (ఇంద్రుడు) తీవ్రంగా కలవరపడి కోపంతో ఉన్నదాన్ని గమనించి, అచ్యుతీ ఆ క్షణపు ఘనతను గ్రహించి స్పందించింది—అశుభ సూచనలతో దైవవ్యవస్థే కంపించినట్లుగా।
