Jarītā–Śārṅgā-saṃvāda: Ākhu-haraṇa and the Approach of Agni (आखुहरणं अग्न्यागमनश्च)
तत्र ब्रह्माणमासीनमिदं वचनमत्रवीत् । भगवन् परमा प्रीति: कृत्वा मे श्वेतकेतुना,वहाँ बैठे हुए ब्रह्माजीसे वे यह वचन बोले--“भगवन्! राजा श्वेतकिने अपने यज्ञमें मुझे परम संतुष्ट कर दिया
tatra brahmāṇam āsīnam idaṃ vacanam atravīt | bhagavan paramā prītiḥ kṛtvā me śvetaketunā ||
అక్కడ ఆసీనుడైన బ్రహ్మదేవునితో ఆయన ఇలా పలికెను—“భగవన్! శ్వేతకేతువు (తన యజ్ఞకర్మచే) నాకు పరమ ప్రీతిని కలిగించాడు।”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Rightly performed sacred duty (especially yajña offered with sincerity and reverence) generates ‘prīti’—divine satisfaction—showing that ethical intention and proper observance are central to dharma and to a ruler’s spiritual credit.
In the scene, a speaker addresses the seated Brahmā and declares that King Śvetaketu has greatly pleased him through actions connected with a sacrifice, indicating divine acknowledgment of the king’s ritual and moral conduct.
