अपना बछ। है २ >> षोडशाधिकद्विशततमो< ध्याय: वर्गाकी प्रार्थनासे अर्जुनका शेष चारों अप्सराओंको भी शापमुक्त करके मणिपूर जाना और चित्रांगदासे मिलकर गोकर्णतीर्थको प्रस्थान करना वर्गोवाच ततो वयं प्रव्यथिता: सर्वा भारतसत्तम | अयाम शरणं विप्रं तं तपोधनमच्युतम्‌,वर्गा बोली--भरतवंशके महापुरुष! उन ब्राह्मणका शाप सुनकर हमें बड़ा दुःख हुआ। तब हम सब-की-सब अपने धर्मसे च्युत न होनेवाले उन तपस्वी विप्रकी शरणमें गयीं

Vargā ūcuḥ |

Tato vayaṁ pravyathitāḥ sarvā Bhāratasattama |

Āyāma śaraṇaṁ vipraṁ taṁ tapodhanam acyutam ||

అప్సరసలు పలికిరి—ఓ భారతశ్రేష్ఠా! ఆ బ్రాహ్మణుని శాపము విని మేమందరం అత్యంత వ్యథితులమయ్యాము. అప్పుడు మేమందరం ధర్మమునుండి చ్యుతి చెందని ఆ తపోధన విప్రుని శరణు పొందితిమి।
