चन्द्रादित्यौ ग्रहास्तारा नक्षत्राणि दिवौकस: । जम्मुर्विषादं तत् कर्म दृष्टवा सुन्दोपसुन्दयो:,सुन्द और उपसुन्दका वह भयानक कर्म देखकर चन्द्रमा, सूर्य, ग्रह, तारे, नक्षत्र और देवता सभी अत्यन्त खिन्न हो उठे
candradityau grahās tārā nakṣatrāṇi divaukasaḥ | jajñur viṣādaṃ tat karma dṛṣṭvā sundopasundayoḥ ||
నారదుడు చెప్పెను—సుంద, ఉపసుందుల ఆ భయంకర కర్మను చూచి చంద్రుడు, సూర్యుడు, గ్రహాలు, తారలు, నక్షత్రాలు, స్వర్గవాసి దేవతలు సైతం గాఢ విషాదంలో మునిగిపోయారు.
