तैस्तैरविंहारैर्बहुभिदैत्यानां कामरूपिणाम् | समा: संक्रीडतां तेषामहरेकमिवाभवत्,इच्छानुसार रूप धारण करनेवाले वे दैत्य वर्षोतक भाँति-भाँतिके खेल-कूद और आमोद-प्रमोद करनेमें लगे रहे; किंतु वह सारा समय उन्हें एक दिनके समान लगा
taistair avihārair bahubhir daityānāṁ kāmarūpiṇām | samāḥ saṅkrīḍatāṁ teṣām ahar ekam ivābhavat |
ఇష్టానుసారంగా రూపం ధరించగల ఆ అనేక దానవులు నానావిధ వినోదాలు, క్రీడలు చేస్తూ మునిగిపోయారు; వారికి సంవత్సరాలన్నీ కూడా ఒక్క రోజువలెనే గడిచిపోయినట్లు అనిపించేది।
