चिन्तयंश्व न पश्यामि राजंस्तव सुद्दत्तमम् । आशभ्यां पुरुषसिंहा भ्यां यो वा स्यात् प्रज्याधिक:,महाराज! मैं बहुत सोचने-विचारनेपर भी आपके किसी ऐसे परम सुहृद् व्यक्तिको नहीं देखता, जो इन दोनों वीर महापुरुषोंसे बुद्धि या विचारशक्तिमें अधिक हो
cintayaṁś ca na paśyāmi rājan tava sudattamam | āśābhyāṁ puruṣasiṁhābhyāṁ yo vā syāt prajñādhikaḥ ||
విదురుడు అన్నాడు—మహారాజా! ఎంత ఆలోచించినా, మీ సన్నిహిత హితైషుల్లో ఈ ఇద్దరు సింహసమాన వీరులకన్నా ప్రজ্ঞా-విచారాలలో అధికుడైనవాడెవడూ నాకు కనిపించడం లేదు.
