Ādi Parva, Adhyāya 193 — Hastināpura Mantra: Duryodhana’s Proposals to Divide the Pāṇḍavas
ते तत्र वीरा: परमासनेषु सपादपीठेष्वविशड्कमाना: । यथानुपूर्व विविशुर्नराग्रया- स्तथा महार्हेषु न विस्मयन्त:
te tatra vīrāḥ paramāsaneṣu sapādapīṭheṣv aviśaṅkamānāḥ | yathānupūrvaṃ viviśur narāgryās tathā mahārheṣu na vismayantaḥ ||
వైశంపాయనుడు పలికెను—అక్కడ ఆ నరశ్రేష్ఠ వీరులు పాదపీಠాలతో కూడిన అత్యంత విలువైన ఉత్తమ ఆసనాలపై ఎలాంటి సందేహం లేకుండా, జ్యేష్ఠ-కనిష్ఠ క్రమంలో ప్రవేశించి కూర్చున్నారు; అంత మహార్హమైన సింహాసనాలను చూసినా వారికి ఆశ్చర్యం కలగలేదు.
