इत्युक्त्वा राजशार्दूला हृष्टा: परिघबाहव: । द्रुपदं तु जिघांसन्त: सायुधा: समुपाद्रवन्‌,यों कहकर परिघ-जैसी मोटी बाँहोंवाले वे श्रेष्ठ भूपाल हर्ष (और उत्साह)-में भरकर हाथोंमें अस्त्र-शस्त्र लिये ट्रपदको मारनेकी इच्छासे उनकी ओर वेगसे दौड़े

ity uktvā rājaśārdūlā hṛṣṭāḥ parighabāhavaḥ | drupadaṃ tu jighāṃsantaḥ sāyudhāḥ samupādravan ||

వైశంపాయనుడు పలికెను—“ఇలా చెప్పి, గదల వంటి బాహువులు గల ఆ రాజసింహులు ఉత్సాహంతో ఉప్పొంగిపోయారు. ఆయుధాలు ధరించి, ద్రుపదుని సంహరించాలనే సంకల్పంతో అతని వైపు వేగంగా దూసుకెళ్లారు.”
