Saṃvaraṇa’s Petition and Tapatī’s Conditioned Consent (सम्वरण-तपती संवादः)
ततः कुन्ती च विप्रश्न सहितावनिलात्मजम् | तमब्रूतां कुरुष्वेति स तथेत्यब्रवीच्च तौ,तदनन्तर कुन्ती और ब्राह्मणने मिलकर वायु-नन्दन भीमसेनसे कहा--“तुम यह काम कर दो।” भीमसेनने उन दोनोंसे “तथास्तु' कहा
tataḥ kuntī ca vipraś ca sahitāv anilātmajam | tam abrūtāṃ kuruṣveti sa tathety abravīc ca tau ||
ఆపై కుంతీ మరియు ఆ బ్రాహ్మణుడు కలిసి వాయుపుత్రుడు భీమసేనునితో—“ఈ కార్యం నీవే చేయుము” అని అన్నారు. భీముడు వారిద్దరికీ “తథాస్తు” అని పలికి అంగీకరించాడు.
