भीमस्य जलान्वेषणं तथा वनविश्रान्तिः

दुपद उवाच अनाश्षर्यत्रिदं ब्रह्मन्‌ विक्रान्तेषु महात्मसु । प्रीये त्वयाहं त्वत्तश्न॒ प्रीतिमिच्छामि शाश्व॒तीम्‌,द्रपदने कहा--ब्रह्मन! आप-जैसे पराक्रमी महात्माओंमें ऐसी उदारताका होना आश्चर्यकी बात नहीं है। मैं आपसे बहुत प्रसन्न हूँ और आपके साथ सदा बनी रहनेवाली मैत्री एवं प्रेम चाहता हूँ

Transliteration

dupada uvāca | anāścaryam idaṃ brahman vikrānteṣu mahātmasu | prīye tvayāhaṃ tvattaś ca prītim icchāmi śāśvatīm ||

Translation

ద్రుపదుడు అన్నాడు—“బ్రాహ్మణా! మీలాంటి విక్రమశాలులైన మహాత్ములలో ఇంత ఉదారత ఉండటం ఆశ్చర్యం కాదు. నేను మీపై ఎంతో ప్రసన్నుడను; మీతో శాశ్వతమైన మైత్రీ, స్నేహబంధం కోరుతున్నాను।”
