स निःसज्रो जलस्यान्तमथ वै पाण्डवोडविशत् । आक्रामन्नागभवने तदा नागकुमारकान्,भीमसेन बेहोशीकी ही दशामें जलके भीतर डूबकर नागलोकमें जा पहुँचे। उस समय कितने ही नागकुमार उनके शरीरसे दब गये। तब बहुत-से महाविषधर नागोंने मिलकर अपनी भयंकर विषवाली बड़ी-बड़ी दाढ़ोंसे भीमसेनको खूब डँसा
sa niḥsajro jalasyāntam atha vai pāṇḍavo 'daviśat | ākrāmann āgabhavane tadā nāgakumārakān |
వైశంపాయనుడు పలికెను—పాండవుడైన భీముడు నీటి లోతుల్లోకి మునిగి నాగలోకంలో ప్రవేశించాడు. నాగభవనంలో కదులుతుండగా అతని దేహభారంతో అనేక నాగకుమారులు నలిగిపోయారు. అప్పుడు అనేక మహావిషధర నాగులు కూడి, విషభరితమైన తమ భయంకరమైన పెద్ద దంతాలతో భీమసేనుణ్ని పదేపదే కాటేశారు.
