कर्णप्रवेशः—रङ्गे द्वन्द्वयुद्धप्रस्तावः तथा अङ्गराज्याभिषेकः

सा गता सह तेनैव पतिलोकमनुव्रता । तस्यास्तस्य च यत्‌ कार्य क्रियतां तदनन्तरम्‌,“वह पतिव्रता देवी महाराज पाण्डुके साथ ही पतिलोकको चली गयी। अब आपलोग माद्री और पाण्डुके लिये जो कार्य आवश्यक समझें, वह करें

sā gatā saha tenaiva patilokam anuvratā | tasyās tasya ca yat kāryaṁ kriyatāṁ tad anantaram ||

ఆ పతివ్రత దేవి అతనితోనే పతిలోకానికి వెళ్లింది. ఇక అనంతరం ఆమెకూ పాండువుకూ చేయవలసిన కర్తవ్యకర్మలు యథావిధిగా నిర్వహించబడుగాక.
